Trainer: So you wanna try out this sport?
JediWannaBe: Yessirie! I just love racing!
Trainer: Well, this is no ordinary racing by running or vehicle.
We race by somersaulting.
JediWannaBe: Oh nice! That brings back memories of when I was little.
Those were fun times... Unless I got too close to a slope.
Trainer: Have you done any recently?
JediWannaBe: On occasion.
Trainer: This sport can get pretty disorientating,
especially if you are going to continuously roll for several miles.
Trainer: Lets see what your technique looks like.
JediWannaBe (crouches): Its been a while, hope I remember.
*JediWannaBe headstands*
*JediWannaBe flops*
Trainer (facepalm): *sigh* Why do I always end up with these guys.
Trainer: Alright, it looks like I'll have to give you the works.
*both crouching*
Trainer: Crouch down, but keep your feet posed as if you are about to
jump up and sprint, except when you do you are to push yourself
forward and at the same time throw your head into the ground,
but remember to protect your head with an arm and roll yourself
around that arm and across your shoulder blade, but never put
any weight on your head and never roll along your spine.
With that momentum you should be able to bring your body forward
and land on your feet again, but once you do you should kick off
as soon as possible to dive into the next roll and thereby be
able to accelerate.
*Trainer performs a roll*
Trainer: Now you try it.
*JediWannaBe looks forward for a frame*
*JediWannaBe pushes forwards, throws his head in his hand, and produces an A shape with his body*
Trainer (facepalms): This is going to take a while...
*JediWannaBe, still A-shaped, drags his head to his feet*
*JediWannaBe pushes himself forward and does a roll*
JediWannaBe (crouched and up-right): By George, I think I got it!
Trainer: Well now... Lets see if you can do several in a row.
JediWannaBe (faces the track): Right!
*JediWannaBe manages enough to clear the gap*
~weeeee sound effect~
JediWannaBe (up in the air upside down): Wait! How do I stop!?
*JediWannaBe meets an abrupt and unfortunate stop at a wall*
Trainer: You don't.
